My turtle.
I stole him from Top Gear.
His name...
Sir Stanly Óisin Quinlan Tang Blake II
The idea of the name is because I wanted a name beginning with an S. The "Sir" bit came from Baxter. Óisin - because I like the name. Quinlan- Hes my favorite Jedi. Tang - I saw a Mustang after I stole him, and Mustangs are one of my favorite cars. and Blake the Second because I have a Blake the Dragon, and so they can be related :)

TOP GEAR!
I had to get up at 5am, and I didn't go to bed until half 12 as one of my friends text me when I was falling asleep and I ended up talking to them for a while.
Anyways got up at 5, my car had ice one the windshield and it was FREEZING outside. I picked Laura up and got to Aislings, I was panicing as I thought we were going to be late. We weren't well in time :)
Bus journey was tiring and what not but we got up there in reasonably good time.
We finally got out to the RDS about just before 9 and queued up. We moved relatively fast and got inside.
I had my video camera out and we were messing with it. Anywho I was putting it in my bag when we were about to go in and the security guy told me to go take it to the office, so i panicked thinking "I won't get this back". So I got out of the queue and went to take it down and then he just said "You know what girls its fine. But if it comes out during the show you'll be kicked out. No questions asked."
So that was grand. Got inside got out seats. and saw these bloody ads about 50times.
The show itself was AMAZING! If you get chance to see it definitly go. Mmmm Richard Hammond :) Hes even better in person.

What friends are for
As many people may know, I'm doing a portfolio to get into IADT Art College.
As I have been doing this, I have been calling in favours from a few of my friends who have been nice enough to be in my portfolio.
Yesterday I asked one of my friends Donal, and I quote "Can I borrow your face and upper half". And as vague as that was he said if it was in the name of Art I could. (I love having friends who act in shows too btw;))
Anywho, I got the pictures I needed, if I get it done this week I will post a picture ^_^
thats all for now ttfn

Dublin
I'd been planning to go to Dublin now for a few weeks to go to the IADT open day.
After several people pulling out etc, I managed to convince my brother Sean to come with.
After sleeping in and missing the bus, missing the 2nd bus and Eddie Rockets being packed, we finally got around to business. IADT was awesome and I DEFINITELY want to go there.
And shopping, I managed to get a few xmas presents, I still need to get more though ¬_¬
Eugh, how I hate being broke.
So a short update but still

Stupid shit week
First I'm updating on the Stephanie Plum series. I finished book 4 today, started book five *Checks* an hour ago and I'm now about 80-90 pages in¬_¬ This is Ridiculous I seriously need to sort out my priorities.
Anywho, So after a shitty start to my week its....not gotten better¬_¬ Its still shit and I had an awful night last night, which I do not care to discuss.
However, I managed to talk Sean around to the idea of coming to Dublin with me, so at least thats semi-good news and I'm going to see Max Payne on saturday, I *Think* IF my plans don't get fucked over that is.
Hmmm... What else, I *NEED* to do homework now, so I'm going to do that and hopefully get some art started as I am seriously behind which is shit>_<
Anyways

People Suck
I had so many plans going on this week but no.
I got stood up by someone 3 times last week and at the weekend, so that's seriously annoyed me. I clear my plans and then I get stood up by the same person, THREE TIMES! If you clear your plans for someone, and that someone can't make it, it would be at least polite to tell the person you're not going to make it. People are so rude and inconsiderate.
Oh and I was meant to be going to Dublin on Saturday to get a shit tonne of shopping and look around this college I want to go to, and again I have got canceled on, and I have since asked a few other people and they are either busy, or at work.
I find it convenient that when I want to go somewhere or something people seem to be busy, but when someone wants something from me they're all over me.
I understand that some people are genuinely busy, which cannot be helped, but there is a select few that I know are not.
I'm in a pretty miffed mood now and I have no idea if I am going to Dublin or not now as I don't exactly want to go to Dublin alone. So we'll see.
Ugh people suck.
Did I mention that?
Blerg >_<
Little ray of sunshine this evening aren't I?
A very miffed

Stephanie Plum
I promised to do a post about the Stephanie Plum series a few blogs ago and I'm now getting to it.
A few weeks ago Denise was telling me about this book she was reading (It was 3 books in one) and how the main character was so similar to certain attributes that we (Meaning D and I) both have. After reading several HILARIOUS passages from it I was all "I'm getting this tomorrow I HAVE to read it!!!"
Basically Stephanie Plum looses her job at a lingerie store and needs money. She turns to her cousin Vinnie who runs a Bail Bond company (They pick up people who have skipped out on there court appearance, Failure to Appear or FTA) So a Bounty Hunter^_^
In the first book called One For The Money, she is going after Joe Morelli who is a cop who has shot and killed someone close range and has gone on the run. Thing is Morelli and her have a tangled history which causes some hilarious and slightly painful moments.
Currently I'm on book 4. And I have to say I LOVE the names, (Hot Six making me giggle for ages after Shaunna thought it read HOT SEX and had a horrified face and asked wtf kind of books I read)
Stephanie Plum Series
* One for the Money
* Two for the Dough
* Three to Get Deadly
* Four to Score
* High Five
* Hot Six
* Seven Up
* Hard Eight
* Visions of Sugar Plums (Holiday Novella)
* To the Nines
* Ten Big Ones
* Eleven on Top
* Twelve Sharp
* Plum Lovin' (Holiday Novella)
* Lean Mean Thirteen
* Plum Lucky (Holiday Novella)
* Fearless Fourteen
* Plum Spooky
I think I might update as I go, as in mark off the ones I have read.
Currently its 1-4 (Excluding 3 as the library didn't have it, BUT I might buy it in Dublin as I am desperate. ¬_¬)
Also D has got me into reading the James Patterson books Roses are Red, and then after I finish it Violets are Blue. ^_^
GO READ THEM! They're fantastic.

A few decent weekends to come
The next few weekends are going to be completely mental. But in a kinda good way.
This weekend I was working yesterday, today I need to do homework, then I'm going swimming and maybe the gym with a few friends and then maybe the movies, I doubt the movies as I can't really afford it. I think I'm heading over to James's this evening too, I'm picking him up after work and we're going to his to play GH4 ^_^ With drums and everything yay^_^
And Sunday I am working for Tessa. So Yeah mental weekend.
Next week, I'm working Friday, IADT Open Day in Dublin on the Saturday, which I seriously cannot wait for. Its the Art College I want to apply for. James and I have decided to head up and get some Christmas shopping done as well so that means I can get some of that done^_^ And when we get home from that I have Donal's party so we're going to head to that too.
The weekend of the 28th, Friday I am working and Saturday will be the best! I'm going to Top Gear in Dublin and I'm stoked. I cannot wait. The only thing is our show is at 11 so we have to leave Monaghan maybe at 6am be in Dublin by 8 get breakfast and get to the RDS so we can get our seats.
AND Finally the Weekend after that I am not working the friday as I swapped with Donna(<3 Donna) and I'm going to see Des Bishop in Castleblaney ^_^ And working on the Saturday.
So Yeah Mental.
And I need to get my shit together and what not to go swimming.... now where on earth did I put my swimsuit and goggles.... This might take a while >_<

An extract
For english i had to do an essay, so I took, "My view on modern History"
I decided to do The American General Elections, Gay Marriage and Abortion. I asked the Lovely Jill Bennett could I quote her in my essay and she told me to "Go for it" So, here is an extract from the essay, its all the part on Gay Marriage.
My Take on Recent History
...Continuation of a pervious paragraph covering the elections...
This brings me onto an issue that has had alot of media coverage in the past year. This year saw the overturn of the ban on Gay marriage in California. It saw the marriages of Out musician Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels, and of course Americas sweethearts Ellen DeGeneres and Portia Di Rossi. Their wedding was covered in many magazines, which I really admired the media for, they didn’t focus on the fact that two women were getting married, and treated it like any other wedding between two celebrities.
But as we all know with a great thing comes bad news, homophobic views and controversy. When I heard about proposition 8 in California, I was outraged. I am an open minded person and I believe in equal rights for all and having many gay friends I understand and agree with their views on this issue. For those who don’t know, Proposition 8 is aiming to ban gay marriage in the state of California, like that of Proposition 2 in Florida.
During the Vice Presidential debate, when Joe Biden and Sarah Palin were asked about Gay Marriage both said they did not support it. And even went so far as to say they “Tolerate” gay people. I’m sorry, Tolerate? Tolerate is used in the context to put up with, they “Put up with” gay people? Does that sound wrong to anyone else? Such a statement is highly offensive.
These right winged conservatives seem to be hiding behind religion as their key issue, as to why gay marriage should be banned. The first amendment is separation of church and state. “Congress shall have no law respecting an establishment of religion”. Catholic religion seems to be dictating laws. This, in my opinion is wrong. The population of America is not made up of all Catholics. In the Reform Jewish religion Gay marriage is supported and accepted.
I asked Out actress Jill Bennett, if I could quote her opinion, and she raises several interesting points. “1100 rights are afforded to married couples”. Eleven hundred. She goes on to say that “Laws attached to marriage are civil rights” These laws are banning gay people from certain rights. Which, again I found distressing. “A gay couple who have been together for 50years have less rights than a couple married in Vegas after 5 minutes of knowing each other. Does that seem fair? “And what was the response Ms Bennett got from a conservative? “Life isn’t fair”.
The question on my mind and that of Jill’s and many other peoples is “How Gay Marriage affects these peoples?” It doesn’t, they claim that is violates the sanctions of marriage between a man and a woman, and that they don’t accept it. Again Jill had an excellent answer, “People don’t have to accept it-just the courts do”. I completely agree with everything Jill said and I believe that change and evolution is needed.
It’s not just the catholic religion who have a problem with gay marriage, the Mormon religion have given a considerable amount of money to vote “Yes on 8”. Again, violating the 1st amendment. I would like to know why people have a problem with it. It’s the 21st century, why are people so close minded?
In 1967, I believe, “90% of people polled around the American nation that they didn’t believe that Black and White people should be allowed to get married, but the courts voted in favour of it because under American law, they have the right not to have religion institutions dictate how their lives are lived” Jill pointed this out and I think that this is a similar situation. People are being prejudice and denying the rights of people to marry because they are of the same sex. It is wrong and I do not agree with it, I would like to know why, in a world that accepts war and killing, why can we not accept this?
When proposition 8 was voted on, the democrats may have won the elections, but prejudice and homophobia prevailed, and “Yes on 8” was set into action, voiding the marriages of gay couples throughout California. The gay community set to the streets of West Hollywood in protest. This denial of rights in a single blow deeply upsets me. They are making the gay community feel like 2nd class citizens. What gives them the right and authority to do so?
In a nation of supposed open minded people, this is a step backwards and just goes to show that homophobia and discrimination is still strong at work.

I should really finish my Poetry question.
I hate poetry questions.
In English we have to write a personal response to some poets poetry, you study like 6 poems for each poet and you cover 4-5 poems in your answer.
I do not like it whatsoever.
Its stupid, I wouldn't mind if we got to pick our poets but I don't relate with ANY of the poets or poetry on the course so far. >_<
Currently I am writing about Derek Walcott who WILL come up as this is his first year on the Leaving Certificate.
I think whoever came up with the idea of poetry on the leaving cert was having a laugh ¬_¬
If I was to write a letter to him it would be as follows:
Dear Sir/Madam
You are an ass.
Because of you I have to study 6 poets(7 but I haven't done the last yet) and I am not impressed with the choice.
Is this a joke? Because seriously, it isn't funny. Why is poetry on the LC? Is it to wreck the already aggravated and stressed 6th year to the point where they cannot form a proper sentence without the starter sentence of "It is of my opinion..." or "I found ______ poetry to affect me".
Well you know what? I do not care for this poetry, I did NOT have a personal connection with this poetry and I don't care if this poet had sex with some girl on a beach.
Why can't we do Poe? or Burton? or some sort of interesting poems like limericks?
"A pirate, history relates
Was scuffling with some of his mates
When he slipped on a cutlass
Which rendered him nutless
And practically useless on dates"
Or my favorite Poe poem
"To Isaac Lea"
It was my choice or chance or curse
To adopt the cause for better or worse
And with my worldly goods & wit
And soul & body worship it ----
Now isn't that more interesting? I rest my case.
Yours etc.
Jade
Oh and on an unrelated, but not that unrelated note, I heart the Stephanie Plum series, I'm going to do a post about it in a bit. IF I get this English finished and get a shower.

Sleep Deprivation is a bitch.
Work was tiring yesterday. I mainly know this as I got up at half 12.
Now half of my day is gone. Literally.
I still need to study, ALOT and shower, go grocery shopping, do some art and god knows what else I have to do>_<
Because of the hour going back my sleep pattern is all over the place so I don't know what going on, I usually get up at around 8-9 lately its been 12/1. Its ridiculous as I'm getting nothing done>_< I also wake up more exhausted and I haven't been eating much. Excluding Halloween, I am still feeling the repercussions of eating that candy, blerg.
I have to buy fave paints today as well for art, I will let you know how it turns out, I haven't had any ideas really yet.
Eugh, I hate the smell of work sometimes =0
Anywho that's all I have for now.
Oh no wait, I was watching the SNL clips earlier which made me want to get a tee made, maybe something like
WWTD? - What would Tina Do?
Or
WWLLD? - What would Liz Lemon do?
Or
Blerg.
Yeah, I'm tired and sleep deprived and haven't had coffee yet>_<
