Busy busy busy

This has been one hell of a busy week.
First off i started painting my room, all the painting is finished now thank god, it took nearly a week, who would have thought that 2 block colours would take so long >_<
Monday
i was working, meant to only be working from 6-10.30, instead i worked to 12, and it was so much fun, it was very very quiet and we did so much messing around its a wonder we got any work done.
Tuesday
Was an interesting day, Tuesday is the day where work is closed, I met Donna and Shelly for lunch, which was good, and after Donna and i decided to go for a walk....in the rain, so we spent the whole day out at Hollywood park, we have pictures and everything and then after went and called upon another friend from work, now when i say called upon, we just turned up at her house, we stayed fro two hours talking random shite, and we weren't allowed to leave until we commited to going to the Forum on wednesday night. The Forum is a huge nightclub in town, pretty much dancing, drinking and ahem, other things go on there.
Wednesday
i had to work, 6-10.30, i couldnt go out after as i had no id, which meant Donna couldnt go out, so i tried to get her to go, she wouldnt listen to me, but in the end she decided she would. I finished work and she rang me directly on 10.30 and we talked for ages before she finally decided to get ready.
Thursday
Well today, woke up at like 10 by Donna calling me, i was in surprisingly high spirits, i drove into town and met Donna fro Brunch, we walked around, got ice cream and headed out to Rossmore where we fell asleep on the grass for an hour, then realized that Donna had a football match o i had to take her home. I had work again and got home about 30minutes ago :)

Tomorrow im working again, i REALLY hope its to Finish as i love working to finish now, its fun. then im working Sunday and Saturday if i can get the hours. And i think i might be going shopping for a dress for my 18th yay:)

I'm Just Like a Bee

I am. I am working working working.

Well in all honesty, I'm steadily working, but i have alot to get through. For example, i have to finish, well start decorating my room, going to Ikea has been put on hold for another week until i can get some things done.

I have taken extra hours at work so that i can afford to go to America next year, which reminds me i have something to say about that at the end. My hours have been pretty good, i worked Thursday, Friday, will be working 5:30pm to 1:30am today, then i will be working Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. So lots of days, which means lots of pay ^_^

I have been given more books to read, I currently have A Game of Thrones-George RR Martin, The Host-Stephanie Meyer , On The Road-Jack Kerouac, A Swiftly Tilting Planet-Madeline L'Engle and Twilight-Stephanie Meyer (Again) on the go. I wish people would stop giving me books to read, well actually i don't but i have to seriously get some finished >_<

I am finally getting some of my portfolio done, which is good, my friend Claire is going to help me get things together, get some pictures etc. As she did hers last year and is going into art college ^_^

Now because i have all this on the go, i only get snatched minutes on the computer. which means by the time i get home from work 11 or later, I'm usually ready to drop. I have Sunday off, so i plan on relaxing and messing on msn and getting some art done. We shall see though. Someone will find someway to interrupt my peacefulness *evil stare*

Oh America. Well my friend Jules is currently over in America, she'll be there for 2 weeks. We were talking about my 18th before she left, and how i didn't know what i wanted. Now i am a year older than Jules, although we're in the same year, Shes 18 next July. And her mom said she can have a ticket to NY for her 18th, and how it would be cool if Jules, Cakey and I could all go. (Cakey is 18 next year too). So i talked to mom about it and i think we, as in Cakey Jules and I, are going to go to NY for 2 weeks(maybe) at the start of September 09. I'm pretty excited and it gives me something to save for:) So New York here i come. Now because i am going to hopefully be there for 2 weeks, i might go see Denise while i am there. I need to figure lots of things out, like visas, where we're staying etc. So watch this space.

It really does break my heart....

The cat brought home a rabbit.

Now this is their idea of a gift, so of course i had to reward it or they get all huffy, yes cats get huffy.

One of the dogs took to guarding said rabbit when the cat brought it back (The poor thing had already died). I had to grab the dog while she had put it down and put her inside so that i could remove the rabbit from the back garden. I picked up the rabbit, and buried him.
I know its all in the circle of life etc, but it really breaks my heart to see its poor lifeless body.

Anyways, RIP Mr Rabbit.

Complete Bordem

..... Well not really, i have been quite busy the last few days, Nan and Grandad went back today so i went over to Jules and hung out with her and Laura all day watching Laguna Beach and My sweet 16... ¬_¬ Don't ask. hahaha, pretty much same planned for tomorrow ^_^

While i was bored earlier, i watched a couple of films and noticed that two of my favorite actresses look quite a bit alike.

Now i couldn't find decent pictures where they look very alike, but this was the best i could do.
So on the left is Rhona Mitra and on the right is Christina Cox.
Well i think they look alike.

Doomsday

Recently i saw the film Doomsaday. Now when i say recently i mean, about 2-3 weeks ago. I have been patiently waiting for this film to come out, as i love the actress who has the lead role, Rhona Mitra.
I have followed most of her work from Hollowman and Party of 5 to The Practice and Boston Legal.
She is an excellent actress and doesn't get nearly as enough credit as she should do. She was the original Lara Croft Actress and has been in many "Big-Named" films.
So you can imagine i was overjoyed to hear that she had the staring role in Doomsday, not so much that she was the lead Female character, but the Lead character, she was no damsel in distress or a side character.
The film is set in a futuristic world where a Retro virus has all but wiped out Scotland. The sole survivor being Eden (Mitra).In the first few minutes of the film we see Eden being shot by guards preventing the Scottish people from leaving, and she is handed over to the armed forces to be taken to England.
Fast forward some 10years and we see a grown up Eden. That is where the main story starts, Survivors have been spotted in Glasgow and Eden has been given a team to go up to Scotland to retrive the serum for the virus.

I am a fan of most action films, it takes a bit to interest me though, if a Film has a good plot and good characters i will watch it. This has everything, bar romance for Eden, which in all honesty i was quite relieved. It would have taken away from her character.
I am so happy that the lead character is a woman, as she is excellent, she kicks ass, literally, theres no messing around. Shes a strong character, i don't think any other actress could have pulled off this role. Rhona played it to perfection and i will most definitely be buying it when it comes out.

If you have the chance to watch this film do, it is excellent, it deserves alot more press than it is getting.

Summer Plans

I partly stole this idea from Denise, but its a good way of getting things done this summer, and i HAVE to keep to it.

My plans for summer are as follows...
1. Do My Portfolio.
This is quite a good first goal, mainly as it decides whether i get into college or not next year. I have to start drawing more and what not.

2.Work out.
Mainly just to keep myself active, i think maybe start again at one hour a day, my whole routine got fucked up when my exams started so i must get back into it again.

3.Read more.
my aim is 20 books, im starting simple as i have read most that i own and i can't afford to buy more.

4.Save money.
This is because i want to go to America next year after my leaving to see Denise and a few other people.

5.Ties in with number 4, Buy less, again as i want to save, its proving hard as i was in town earlier and wanted to buy at least 4 things >_<

6.Do some extra shifts at work.
Again to get more money up as i may have to stop the job after christmas in order to study.

7.Finish watching some anime.
I have alot to get through this summer, maybe 2 episodes of 2 different shows a day, so one of one episode and one of another.

8.Finish some TV shows/ Movies.
Again i have alot to get through and it would be nice to lighten the load a bit.

9.STUDY.
This is one of the important ones. I was disappointed with my results so i might study a bit over the summer just to keep myself up to date instead of going back in september and having to learn it all again.

10.Learn to speak more fluent Irish.
I would like to speak irish more fluently, mainly for my own amusement, i love the language and would like to be able to uphold a proper conversation.

11.Do up my room.
I have already started on this, i have pulled down all the posters an im packing things away as i write this post, i am going to Ikea on tuesday to get things for my room then i might start painting wednesday.

12.Take a few trips.
I just got back from italy yesterday. I will see about this, i might just go to a few places for the day around Ireland, but nothing big as i can't afford it, i might go to England in August but i will see. I would love to go i love seeing my grandparents but financially at the moment it doesn't look feasible.

13.Spend more time with friends.
Well the way things are looking most people are away for a while, but i would like to spend time with my friends this summer unlike last summer where i barely saw them, now that i have a car it may be easier.

14.Cook more.
I like cooking, i need to get more recipes, so we shall see how this goes.


For now that is all i have they're all quite long winded goals, mainly as i have big expectations haha.

Italia

I was going to do a blow by blow account about Italy, but I'm thinking now i might just outline a few of the things that happened.

I would also like to just add, the first day i was there, i got so frustrated that i went out and bought a pen and notepad so that i could write down my thoughts.... I'm such a geek it is unbelievable.

The first fiasco was before we'd even left the country. First off let me just say, I was driving one car and mom was driving the other, now on the way up the motorway, we were constantly overtaking and as we each passed each other, someone would end up giving someone in the other car the finger, so it was all good fun.
When we got to the airport, there was no check-in desk open for us, so we waited around for about a half an hour, where i was mostly watching the other desks and famous-person hunting, i was secretly wishing to go to America, haha, wishful thinking.
We were the first to check in which was all fine, no over weight cases, and as always i beeped in security, i swear they just like feeling me up ¬_¬
Food was the next priority, there was so many fuck ups with the food, and the fucking alarm kept going off, we waited over an hour to get food, which was just stupid. We ended up having to just go down to the gate right after, which is about a 15 minute walk as its down a huge passageway >_<

When we were waiting by the gate, i needed caffeine so i went off to get coffee just about sat down when i got back with my coffee and people were standing ready to board, so i burnt myself with the coffee >_<
Then up on the screen it flashes delayed.
We ended up being delayed by about an hour.

When we landed we had to get our cases etc and get onto this bus out to the car hire place. As we were sat on the bus i noticed a sign on the back which was in italian and translated (Very badly) into English which read
"For Attention to Kind customer, we do not take responsibility for The Lost Object"
I nearly keeled over laughing, i couldn't decided whether this was an actual object or they meant lost belongings. *giggles again*

Again another delay when we got the car there was an accident on the Autostrade and we had to be diverted, we got to the hotel at about 12:30 Irish time, 1:30 Italian time and 7:30 American time. (Well Denise Time)

The next morning we walked into Desenzano for breakfast, like a 2 minute walk if even, and i had no sunglasses, as i think i said in a previous blog, they had got broken, so i was squinting and looked quite annoyed. Anyway we sat down at this cafe and ordered coffee, i ordered a hot chocolate, and they ordered croissants, now i do not like them, i haven't for a while and no matter how much "But you used to like them" and "Come on they're really nice" was not going to convince me otherwise to eat them. The hot chocolate also turned into disaster, it was literally melted chocolate in a cup, i am not kidding, i should have taken a picture, but i was in such a bad mood already that i was in no mood to laugh/joke etc. As i have possibly said before, i am NOT a mornings person.

We walked around for a while, i bought 2 pairs of sunglasses for like €12, (Thanks Denise for that idea <3) and a new belt. Now baring in mind its about 11am it was about 32 C and getting hotter. We got back to the apartment and went swimming (We had a pool)
Shortly after that we all got ready and off we went again, this time up the mountain in a cable car type of thing, it was really really pretty.
Oh on the way to it, we had some weird conversations. For Example
Adam tried to Ro-Shambo me for the Naboo Island Retreat in Lake Como, but i have dibs on it. This all started as Shelly called dibs on a castle we went past so i called Como palace and Adam decided he wanted it too, i made the HUGE mistake of saying Ro-Shambo my ass, when he said he would ro-shombo me for it >_<
If anyone is wondering Ro-shambo, is when you kick each other in the groin until one of the two falls down.
Anyways, we also went past a crazy golf (Denise, remind me to show you video sometime)
and a place called Movie Land, we wanted to go there but dad said we were too old, to which Michelle yelled "We're NEVER too old for Movie land!!!"

Oh Dad missed the cable car on the way back down and he had to wait for the next one.
Oh we went to this sports shop and i managed to get the Vans i had been looking for Prison Issue #23


In the evenings when it got dark was the best, all the lights it was amazing, and it was really warm too. The first night there was classical music playing in the center of the town, and it was soooo pretty.

So the next morning i got rushed out and i forgot to take a spare t-shirt which was a HUGE mistake. We were heading to Venice and i love Venice. Again it is incredibly hot, and it was gradually getting hotter as the day went on, i had stupidly worn a 3/4 length sleeve top, it was thin but my god was i hot, i thought i was going to melt, i had a very uncomfortable experience while there, my back got so hot, the weirdest thing was i was dying of the heat, but you couldn't tell, if you touched my skin i was like ice. Weird.(Which i have been informed is a sign of sunstroke, alot of things now make sense)
We ate in the same restaurant as i did in March and i loved it, i got a waiters number, heh, he was very very nice, and the service is excellent ^_^
We walked around Sr.Marks, i bought i new t-shirt as i was too hot in the other.
On the way back to the car we stopped int he infamous Billa supermarket, i heart Billa, its cheap and has air conditioning ^^
500ml cans of Coke FTW!!


Oh shit i nearly forgot we went on a gondola tour around Venice, definitely worth €100 that was for the 6 of us, its a fixed price i think, so it was amazing, i would recommend it for sure. We went past Casanovas house ;)
Again got back and went for a swim, i was lucky this holiday that my hair didn't turn green.

Didn't do much on Thursday hung around mainly. Oh went to the Simply market in the evening i spent 30 minutes picking pasta and i ended up going with normal spaghetti as i couldn't choose ¬_¬

The last day no one wanted to leave, we packed up the car and headed out to Verona, went to Juliettes balcony, again it was very hot, i like Verona its very very pretty.
We headed off to the Orio center after that, i won't even go into that ¬_¬
and finally to the airport.

We finally got home at about 2am i think. God i missed my bed.
